En nuestro post inglés turístico vimos algunas de las frases más útiles para viajar. En este post nos centraremos en los viajes en tren. Os dejaremos vocabulario y frases que seguro necesitáis cuando tengáis que coger un tren ツ

Vocabulario para viajar en tren 

1. En la estación

Ticket office / ticket window - ventanilla (donde se venden los billetes)

Ticket sales - venta de billetes

Information office -ventanilla de información

Left luggage -consigna
Left luggage locker -consigna automática

Lost property - objetos perdidos

Waiting room -sala de espera

Way out - salida

Ticket - billete

One way ticket -billete de ida
Return ticket -billete de ida y vuelta
Standard rate -tarifa normal

Student fare/rate -tarifa de estudiante
First class-primera clase
Second class- segunda clase

To change a ticket -cambiar un billete

To cancel a ticket -cancelar un billete

Public holidays -días festivos
Weekdays -días laborables

Full train -tren completo

Booking / reservation -reserva

Seat reservation - reserva de asiento

Timetable - horario

Arrivals - llegadas
Departures - salidas
Delays - retrasos
Cancelled - cancelado
On time - en hora
Change train -transbordo
Non-stop train- tren directo

From -procedente de
To -con destino a

Stop -parada

Stopping at ... - con parada en...Train from London to Liverpool (tren procedente de Londres con destino a Liverpool)

Ticket barrier - entrada a las vías

Level crossing-paso a nivel

Platform - andén

Track / rail -vía

Luggage trolley - carro

to take the train -coger el tren
to miss the train - perder el tren
to get on the train -subir al tren
to get off the train -bajar del tren

to change trains /to transfer trains -hacer trasbordo
to leave on time -salir a su hora

to be late -llevar retraso

The train is 20 minutes late (el tren lleva un retraso de 20 minutos)

with a delay of 20 minutes -con un retraso de 20 minutos

If you arrive at your destination with a delay of more than 30 minutes you can get a refund (si llegas a tu destino con un retraso de más de 30 minutos, te devuelven el dinero)

Refreshments - comida/bebida
